Sanford Weintraub, the founder and principal of Weintraub Consulting Services, has a strong general management and financial background based on over 35 years of diversified experience in both Private Industry and Public Accounting. In private industry he served as the Chief Operating Officer for Torchlight Investors, a registered investment advisor, as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the Independent Election Corporation of America (“IECA”) before the Company was acquired by Automatic Data Processing, Inc.(“ADP”). At ADP he served at several senior level positions, including General Manager of 2 divisions. He was the CFO of Avaltus, Inc., a software Company that was purchased by a Fortune 100 Company. He also served as the CFO of the Polly Esther's/Culture Club Night Club Chain. In Public Accounting he was a Firm Director at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, a tax partner at Holtz Rubenstein and a Senior Tax Manager at Touche Ross & Co. Mr. Weintraub has also served on the Board of Directors of IECA and the New York State Society of CPAs (“NYSSCPAs”) as well as on the Board of Managers of Total Personal Services Administrative Group, LLC.
He holds a license as a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) and a Certified Financial Planner (“CFP”). He also holds an MBA in Taxation.
Mr. Weintraub has been an extensive lecturer, author and contributor to various technical publications. He has previously served as Chairman of the Pension Committee of the NYSSCPAs as well as serving on various tax and financial committees of NYSSCPAs, both on the State and Chapter level. He was on the faculty of the Foundation for Accounting Education for over 10 years. He also was an adjunct Assistant Professor at Adelphi University teaching Certified Financial Planning for over 4 years. He was on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of State Taxation (A Panel Publication).
Mr. Weintraub is active in his community and has served in many charitable organizations.
